Chelsea, Man Utd join race for Griezmann

Chelsea are set to battle Manchester United in the transfer market next year as they both aim to pursue the signing of Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann, 25, is one of the top strikers in Europe, and one of a few players just below Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi’s level that could potentially be signed in the summer market.

The Frenchman, who finished top scorer at Euro 2016 with six goals, recently signed a new contract with Atletico Madrid which included an £85 million release clause.
However as reported by the Mirror, Chelsea and United will still battle each other for Griezmann’s signature next year.
The Blues currently have Diego Costa and Michy Batshuayi to call upon in attack; the former is the top scorer in the Premier League with eight goals this season, but a return to Atletico is constantly rumoured in the press.
Meanwhile the Red Devils have Zlatan Ibrahimovic misfiring, and only Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney in reserve.
